OSB 2 Board, also known as ‘Oriented Strand Board Type 2’ or ‘Dry Structural OSB Panel’, is a versatile load-bearing engineered wood panel for interior use. It is manufactured by bonding multiple layers of wood strands with adhesive (MUF/PMDI glue) under high temperature and pressure. It offers good mechanical strength, rigidity and dimensional stability, with moderate water resistance unsuitable for outdoor damp environments. It may be regarded as the ‘economical load-bearing option’ within the OSB range, frequently employed for internal structural applications in dry indoor environments, such as wall framing, flooring in dry areas, ceilings, and furniture components.
