OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is “plywood, but smarter.” It is an engineered wood panel made by pressing multiple layers of wood strips or chips (such as Radiata Pine, mason pine, Poplar, etc.) under high temperature and pressure, bonded together with MR, Melamine, Phenolic, or MDI adhesives. It overcomes the disadvantages of plywood—knots, voids, and weak grain patterns—offering uniform high strength, cost-effectiveness, excellent moisture resistance. OSB is widely used for building floors, roof sheathing, wall cladding, and various load-bearing applications.

It is a sustainable alternative to plywood, classified into different grades based on structural and environmental requiremnts, including OSB/1 (general non-structural panels), OSB/2 (dry load-bearing panels), OSB/3 (moisture-proof load-bearing panels), and OSB/4 (moisture-proof heavy-duty load-bearing panels).
